INGREDIENTS 2 cups sugar 1 3/4 cups white flour 3/4 cups cocoa powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 2 eggs 1 cup milk 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 cup boiling water Preheat oven to 350 degrees F which is uhhhh something in Celsius Grease pan; I use a bundt pan, but two nine inch round cake pans or a 9" by 13" rectangular pan will work as well, just keep an eye on it as it cooks. Mix dry ingredients, stir well to combine. Put the water on to boil. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla, stir the shit out of that until well-mixed and there aren't any large lumps or anything. Then stir more until the water boils. Add one cup boiling water to the batter, then stir (carefully!) until everything is glossy and well-mixed. You'll know when it's done. Pour into pan(s), put in oven, bake until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. Cool completely, turn out, ice or glaze if you want but it's honestly fine on its own.
